When I was able to finally book Jackie Borrego to come into the Beat the Clock space, I felt started to feel so pumped (in a new way). Even though she is in San Antonio now, she is the first Laredoan I speak to since episode 5. She has a podcast as well, More Alike, and it's a gentler version of BTC's vision, which is why I was excited to see how the different energies would mix.
I say that because those of you who have purchased and read Break Through Fear know that there's A LOT of inner work that goes into finding something that truly fills your cup in a sustainable way. Frankly, not many people want to do this work because they are scared of what such work will provoke, but Jackie is another advocate of doing deep introspection to find the best version of yourself. While on that journey, you can find other people who are forging a similar path and find that you guys are more alike than you think (even if the paths looks radically different).
Favorite Takeaways From This Episode:
Don't ignore your intuition: if you take the time to fine tune your ear, you can guide yourself to a job and life that will bring you lifetime joy.
No regrets: every part of the journey, however unaligned it seems, is a lily pad (or spring board) to the next part of your journey.
Community is key: you will never be able to make your dreams a reality if you don't find someone safe to explore them with. Life is hard enough: surround yourself with people who will lift you up (you don't have to do this thing alone).
What did you think?
What did you think of this Laredo fusion of energies? I think this was the most emotional and present I've been in an interview, so that speaks volumes of Jackie's energy and ability to bring out some tenderness in your spirit that makes life feel good.
